FIVE MEMBERS
OF GAMBLING RACKET ARRESTED BY AEKC, CRIME BRANCH.

INTRODUCTION

In a significant operation, a team of a AEKC, Crime Branch, has arrested five members of Gambling Racket while they were engaged in illigal online betting during IPL match between Punjab kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The mastermind accused of Gambling Racket has been identified as Youdhvir S/o Nathuram R/o Village Rangpuri, Post Office Mahipalpur, New Delhi (Age: 36 years). The accused persons were frequently changing their places/den for betting to avoid being caught.

INCIDENT
On 12/04/25, Ct. Sumit, received a confidential tip-off about this gambling racket, accordingly, a dedicated team was formed under the leadership of Insp. Amit Solanki, consisting of SI Ankur, SI Arvind Kumar, ASI Mohd Talim, HC Somesh, Ct. Sonu, Ct. Pyar Singh. The operation was carried out under the close supervision of Sh. Sushil Kumar, ACP/AEKC, under the overall guidance of MS. APOORVA GUPTA (IPS), DCP/Crime-I to nab the Criminals.

Acting on the specific and credible intelligence regarding an illegal online gambling operation (IPL book), a well-coordinated raid was conducted at the premises located at J-xxx, 3rd Floor, Vikaspuri, New Delhi, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Vikaspuri. During the raid, a total of five accused persons were apprehended while they were actively engaged in illegal betting activities related to ongoing IPL cricket matche between Punjab Kings eleven and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The particulars of the accused are as follows:
1. Vikas Girsa S/o Rajpal Girsa R/o Village Nangli Jalib, B-1, Janakpuri, New Delhi (Age: 36 years)
2. Sukesh S/o Hari Sahani R/o WZ Village Nangli Jalib, B-1, Janakpuri, New Delhi (Age: 24 years)
3. Mohit Shakya S/o Late Jageshwar Prasad R/o Uprahi Mohalla, Near Mahal, Mahipalpur, New Delhi (Age: 32 years)
4. Youdhvir S/o Nathuram R/o Village Rangpuri, Post Office Mahipalpur, New Delhi (Age: 36 years)
5. Mandeep Girsa S/o Late Anil Kumar Girsa R/o Village Nangli Jalib, B-1, Janakpuri, New Delhi (Age: 29 years)
RECOVERY AND SEIZURE:-
Upon conducting a thorough search of the premises in accordance with the legal provisions and in the presence of official witnesses, the following articles were seized from the possession of the accused and from the premises:
(1) 04 Mobile Phones used specifically for placing and receiving online bets
(2) 10 Personal Mobile Phones belonging to the accused persons.
(3) 01 Laptop used for maintaining and managing betting accounts.
(4) 01 LED TV Screen which was displaying a live IPL match at the time of the raid.
During further investigation, two IPL matches were targeted for illegal betting dt. 12/04/25:
(1) Gujarat Titans V/s. Lucknow Super Giants – A total of 28 bets were placed.
(2) Punjab Kings vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad – A total of 18 bets were initiated.
The accused were using "Swastik Live TV" software to monitor live betting rates and odds.
The total betting amount involved was approximately ₹28 lakh, as per the preliminary analysis of digital records.
The seized articles have been appropriately sealed, documented, and taken into police custody as evidence to support further legal proceedings.

Subsequently Case FIR No. 91/25 dt. 13/04/25, U/S 3/4/9/55 Gambling Act was registered at AEKC Crime Branch. Further investigation is in progress.
