Imagine the enormous prosperity women can bring to a nation when connected to the incredible power and influence of the right information – more so, the access and use of such information?
Yewande Kazeem explored some challenges faced by farmers in the Agriculture Industry through the inspiring stories of some women, who were directly impacted by these issues and the gruelling decisions made after.
The talk emphasised the role of women in building communities, raised hopeful questions on the importance of information, and more significantly channelling these information to and for the benefits of the unreached audience through awareness, media, technology.
Her passion for inquisitive questioning, creative visuals, storytelling and vast experience in the agriculture sector birthed the Wandieville Media, a communication and educative media company that highlights global development issues through campaigns, powerful visuals and captivating stories.
This talk was given at the TEDxWomen event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Yewande Kazeem’s passion for inquisitive questioning, creative visuals, storytelling and her vast experience in the agriculture sector allowed her to create Wandieville Media, a communication and educative media company she founded to provide a positive impact on global development issues through campaigns, powerful visual and captivating stories.

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, she has also worked closely with Central Bank of Nigeria, Bank of Industry, World Bank, the International Finance Cooperation and Nigeria’s Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Trade and Investment and Central Bank.

Yewande is passionate about impacting smallholder farmers, women farmers and school planting programs as well as supporting the research and technology that will be needed to feed nine billion people by 2050.
