Rock Band 4 Redux time baby!

I first played through this game when it released on October 6, 2015, a little over 8 years ago at this point. I went into that game with the intention of recording an FC run of every song and uploading it to YouTube ASAP so that my videos would be the ones people see when they looked up the cool new Rock Band game that everyone was so excited for.

I accomplished that goal within 48 hours. I went HARD on this game in those 48 hours while still going to high school and working a few hours a day at a pizza shop. First ever FGFC. Very proud of that accomplishment.

Well now the time has come for me to revisit this game, 8 years later. It's fucked up to think it's been that long, it still feels so recent in my brain, but that's just how time works.

This is 1st place by 1 point. This game has a very dedicated and passionate fanbase of people going for scores thanks to Rock Band Rivals, a great idea that perfectly fits my little niche I've carved out for myself in these games. I participated in the first few seasons of Rivals with some random crew, I had fun. We got bloodstone really early on, maybe season 2 or 3? I don't remember. We're on Season 34 now, so if that tells you anything...

This game has changed a lot since release, especially when it comes to scoring. This game has been very streamlined to create as fair an environment as possible. OD gained from whammying is normalized, no more early whammy and no more lag glitch to get extra OD. Watch the overdrive bar while I'm whammying at 2:21 - as I near the end of the sustain, I stop gaining more OD because I've already gotten all that is possible. It's kinda nice having a defined amount of OD you can get from a sustain instead of having to go hard on early whammy all the time, it's a nice change of pace for the RB games.

That activation I was referencing earlier is actually the one I got an extra point on because of that activation on the end of that SP sustain. I spent probably 45 minutes trying to get 1st place ticks on that activation and still hit the back end, and this is the result, an untied 1st place to start out the series.
