Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders visit the BFI Southbank to talk about their work on The Comic Strip alongside the show's creator Peter Richardson.

Broadcast in 1990, The Comic Strip Presents ... GLC: The Carnage Continues is one of a pair of award-winning satires that asks how Hollywood might have approached recent events in British political history.

It parodies the events of the 1980s takeover of the Greater London Council by Ken Livingstone, framing it as an ultra-violent action movie in which Robbie Coltrane plays Charles Bronson playing Ken Livingston, while French plays Cher playing Joan Ruddock.
