My awesome sambal paste for Portuguese grilled fish 🔥

Ill write a more detailed one on my website but if you cook regularly, this simple video should suffice. Not many steps, just lots of peeling 😂😂😂

1 inch belacan
10-12 shallots
4-5 garlic cloves
5 candlenuts
1 inch turmeric (or 1 tsp turmeric powder)
3 tbs chilli paste (adjust to your tolerance for spice)
1 inch galangal
1 lemongrass
Juice from 1-2 limes
Gula melaka and salt to taste

To cook your Portuguese grilled fish, spread half the cooked paste on an aluminium foil. Then put fish on top, and spread the remaining paste on it. You can add vegetables like okra and tomatoes; nestle them around the fish.
Fold aluminium foil into an envelope.
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 180 C and tada!
