From this one dividend stock investment, I’ll earn nearly $6,000 just from the dividend yield and another 7% return on the price. The best part about this strategy is I still make those returns even if the shares fall 13% from the current price.

Chevron (CVX) is easily the best dividend stock right now with 33 consecutive years of dividend payout increases even in the face of some tough times for energy companies. This dividend paying company is one of the lowest cost producers in its industry so you know that cash flow will keep coming. The entire sector has some strong economic forces lining up behind it to help support share prices.

I’m using the covered call option strategy to produce more dividends from the stock and lower my risk. I’m not trying to get rich here, just trying to find a good place to park my cash until the stock market gets a little cheaper. That option strategy is one of my favorite for lowering risk and staying invested.
