San Diego: Major Accident 05152020

4 drivers were stopped at the intersection at the red light. The female driver of the red Nissan came speeding eastbound on Palm Ave, and never hit her brakes as she slammed into the 4 vehicles. Police believed speed and distracted driving was the cause of the incident.

Several people had to be extricated from the wreckage by the firefighters.
There were 3 major injuries, 2 minor to moderate injuries, and one person refused medical help. The 3 major injuries were transported to UCSD Hospital, and the other 2 went to Sharp Chula Vista. Eastbound Palm Ave to the I-805 will shut down for some time for the investigation and cleanup of the scene.
