Microsoft Edge Will Soon Open Copilot Automatically When Clicking Outlook Links!

Microsoft is pushing Copilot even further — this time directly into your Outlook and Edge workflow. Here's everything you need to know.

According to the official Microsoft 365 roadmap, Microsoft is planning a major update that will automatically open the Copilot side pane in Microsoft Edge whenever you click a link inside Microsoft Outlook.
This means Copilot will read both your email content AND the destination page — then instantly give you:
✅ Key highlights from the page
✅ Suggested next actions
✅ Help drafting replies or scheduling follow-ups
✅ Quick summaries — without leaving your browser
The rollout is scheduled to begin in May 2025, but it's still unclear whether this feature will be on by default or optional for users.
