Anti-Litter Evesham

This morning (Sun 23.03.25) community group Anti-Litter Evesham saw around 50 volunteers help litter pick and clean up our streets.

The (private) Riverside Shopping centre is off bounds for the community team - If I had it my way, we'd litter pick the Riverside straight outta' here!

What amazed me, was the number of cigerette butts littered around bins and shop frontages - this is something that I shall be discussing with our Services and town centre ‘Place’ teams. It goes without saying, cigarette butts are litter and I’d encourage those who smoked to use the bins and ashtrays provided.

The Anti-litter team work closely with the Town and Wychavon District councils to help steer services for the better, and their efforts should be shouted far and wide - so thank you Laura and the Anti-litter Evesham team 🙏
