In 2001, the Magnum became Halo's first ever meta tool. It set the precedent for Halo meta to come, even 20 years later. But in 2004, Bungie turned what was once the greatest tool in Halo, to nearly the worst.

In this video on Halo gameplay history, we explore the original Halo trilogy and the rise to fall of the Magnum. Introduced in Halo CE, the Magnum was influential in what would become Halo's core gameplay. As tiem progressed however, the Magnum was faced with a series of setbacks that made it one of the worst tools in all of Halo. We explore how and why.
