Spain is only a six-hour flight from New York City.

That alone makes it worth considering as a weekend destination, and A Coruña, a coastal city in Galicia, is one that most people skip entirely.

Before my solo pilgrimage on the Camino Inglés, I stayed here for 24 hours.

If you’re doing the same, starting in A Coruña doesn’t qualify you for the Compostela, but this video covers why I chose A Coruña anyway.
