The past 18 months have confirmed what we already knew. Employees are quite productive working from home and there is no need for them to go back into the office. Despite these results the government and private companies are demanding the return of workers to the office. As a result of this and other factors reports show that up to 95% of workers are considering changing jobs. If you are not happy with your job now is the time to change.

Life is too short to stay with any employer that does not value you. There are more than 10 million job openings based on the most recent labor reports. Financial gurus will tout creating passive income and that is smart however it is more important now to have a job to fuel the fire until many workers can graduate to that level of success. We all have dreams of having high incomes, working from home and setting our own schedules. Now more than ever it is possible to do these things since our societal norms have forever changed. Workers resent congested commutes, time in traffic, time away from family and costly expenses to dress up for work every day. In order to level up workers will need to do the following:

1. Step out of their comfort zone. Most workers love repetition, familiarity and redundancy. However, in order to progress they must be willion to try new adventures.
2. They must take a swing. In order to get a base hit or a home run you can't just stand in the batters box. You have to be ready to take advantage of a pitch that comes into your strike zone.
3. Commit to change. Nobody said it would be easy so it may take some perseverance before you land the position you want. Just don't go back to Egypt or a previous job you left.
4. Make a list of the benefits you must have once you land your new job. If you want to work from home, high income, a 401k or healthcare make it known before you sign your offer.
5. Don't settle. There is a reason why you are looking for a job. You don't want this to be a recurring event so make sure you get what you want and do not compromise or you could find yourself unhappy again.

Once you do find your dream job cherish it and use the funds to creat passive income because that is our ultimate path to financial freedom.
