Chapter 35 Innate Immunity
This lecture takes a look at the first two lines of defense that animals have to fight off pathogens. We discuss the role of the mechanical and physical barriers of the 1st line and the cells and chemical responses of the 2nd line. We finish up discussing how microbes avoid specific defenses.
