Behind the Scenes of "Rain sounds for sleeping. Rain in a car with lightning and thunder storm - Sleep Music"
I shot this video on August 22, 2014, using a GoPro and a Tascam DR-40. I was enjoying my dinner at home when I heard thunder rumbling in the distance. Seeing the storm approaching, I hurriedly jumped into my car, waiting for the perfect moment to start recording.
Just as the rain intensified and I hit the record button, a car pulled up, trying to squeeze into a super tight parking spot right in front of me. Not only were the flashing brake and reverse lights a distraction, but they also blocked the majestic lightning display in the background.
I couldn't really confront them; after all, it's a public street and everyone's got the right to park. Still, I was getting a tad nervous. They were taking their sweet time and getting way too close to my car for comfort.
After a good bit of maneuvering, they gave up and parked elsewhere, clearing up my view of the storm.
The video I released starts right after they drove off, cutting out that whole parking saga because it just didn't fit the vibe.
Since YouTube has demonetized my channel, questioning the originality of my content, I'm sharing these previously unseen moments. I've got the original GoPro and Tascam files to back me up.
When I first posted the video, I set it to 24fps for a smoother look. The original, however, was shot at a much higher speed (120fps). YouTube maxes out at 60fps, so that's what you'll see, even though my original files are in 120fps.
I sincerely hope YouTube revisits my channel. I've been uploading genuine, original content for over a decade now.
