Michigan Avenue Driving in Downtown Chicago 4K Streets of the Americas

Michigan Avenue in Chicago is a north south street that starts from Oak Street in Gold Coast area and run south onward. It is a commercial and high rise residential corridor until south loop to Stevenson Expressway. Then it transforms into low rise single family residential streets with sporadic appearance of store fronts and runs intermittently on an off until Sibley Blvd(147th st south) to the city of Riverdale in far south.

Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago gets the notoriety of being prolific main street filled with shopping, dining, entertainment and residential is also known as Magnificent Mile. Lots of parades are held here during different occasions. It passes through some historic landmarks like Cloudgate, Chicago Art Museum, Grant Park, Millenium Park and so forth.

Today we will be driving from 2600 S Michigan Ave in Prairie Shore area to Oak Streets in north side to Gold Coast area. The distance covered is about 4.3 miles and took about 15 minutes to complete on a Saturday morning. Enjoy
