Erika Kirk left White House Correspondents’ Dinner ‘traumatised’

Sky News host Rita Panahi says she feels for Erika Kirk after the latest assassination attempt on US President Donald Trump’s life.

“While much of the media at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner took the assassination attempt in their stride, some even helped themselves to bottles of alcohol on the way out of the function room, the violence was particularly traumatic for Erika Kirk, whose husband Charlie Kirk was assassinated seven months ago,” Ms Panahi said.

“Seems like she hasn’t even had time to grieve for Charlie, and to be in that room, it must’ve been really traumatising.”
