Is Being Pain Free Mean Your Injury Is Fully Healed?
So there is a common misconception that I hear and its that when an injured area is no longer painful, then you are fully healed and can get back to full training...well this is not always true...let me explain.
Different types of tissue such as muscle, tendon, bones, etc can take a variety of times to heal as it is dependent on the type and severity of injury.
An important idea is to take pain levels into account, however, don't let pain be the determining factor in your recovery.
You have to also look at other factors in your recovery such as range of motion of the area, strength of the surrounding muscles, and if you are able to perform the movements necessary for your sport (BJJ or other sports).
