🚀 Russian Rocket Launches Iranian Satellites Amid Strengthening Moscow-Tehran Ties 🇷🇺🇮🇷

A Russian Soyuz-2.1 rocket has successfully launched 53 satellites into orbit, including two from Iran, in the latest demonstration of growing cooperation between Russia and Iran. The Iranian satellites, Kowsar and Hodhod, were deployed from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in eastern Russia.

The Kowsar satellite, manufactured by Iran's Omidfaza company, is designed for high-resolution imaging and is expected to operate for three years. Hodhod, a small communications satellite, should last four years. The launch represents a step forward for Iran’s private space sector, while further strengthening ties between Moscow and Tehran.

This comes as Russia and Iran plan to establish a “comprehensive strategic partnership” during an upcoming visit by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. However, the cooperation is attracting criticism from Western countries, who allege Iran’s drone support for Russia in Ukraine.
