Tombstone vs. Wyatt Earp: Which Movie is More Accurate?

In the wake of our 5-table Tombstone tabletop wargame, Chal and Greg sit down to settle a long-standing debate in our club...what is the best OK Corral film of all time? After dispensing with a couple of early classics, the debate comes down to Kevin Costner's 1994 depiction in "Wyatt Earp" versus the Kurt Russell's 1993 take in "Tombstone."

We compare the historical accuracy of each movie to weigh what they got right against what they may have embellished for Hollywood drama. And in the end, it may just be that our favorite OK Corral movie isn't necessarily the most historically accurate after all....

So what do you think? Are in you "Camp Wyatt Earp" or "Camp Tombstone" in this debate? Which did you enjoy more as a casual movie goer, and does that answer differ from which film you found more faithful to history?

If you enjoy the unique mix of history, wargames, and Scotch you find here on LWTV, we'll be your huckleberry! Do us a favor and SUBSCRIBE or share this video with a fellow fan of the Wild West.
