Buick Business Concept Car in China
General Motors may be drowning in red ink in the United States but it's booming in China where it's the number two brand behind Volkswagen. While its success rests largely on the back of tiny, utilitarian vehicles its premium Buick models are highly respected. The company showed off where it might be heading with Buick when it unveiled the Buick Business Concept, at Auto Shanghai 2009. The multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) was developed in China by the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC), a design and engineering joint venture between General Motors and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC), with global design input.
