This is probably one of the most heart-wrenchingly beautiful dog reunions ever! It also happens to be the moment the World Animal Awareness Society was conceived - we just didn't know it yet.

Meet Lamont who is on a mission to find his beloved Dog Cleo at Lamar - Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, LA 10 days after his home was destroyed and his life was forever changed following Hurricane Katrina.

The World Animal Awareness Society salutes the tens of thousands of volunteers who descended upon the Gulf states to rescue animals and pets on the eve of the 10th anniversary.
