Dear World Animal Awareness Society,

My name is Khrista Messinger and I am one of the Humane Officers for Charleston, West Virginia.

As a city we are struggling with our "Homeless Pet Owner" population due to the economy and a LARGE drug and crime epidemic. We are seeing more and more homeless people on the street with animals.

Charleston, WV is now ranked among the highest rated cities for crime. In the last 2 months I have picked up animals at 3 murder scenes and 1 suicide...

Our local shelter is full as we have a record number of animals being abandoned when people are evicted...

Being a municipal entity, it is hard for us to receive grants. I am asking your help in aiding these animals.

These dogs need veterinary care, medicine, food, collars, leashes and all the basics many of us take for granted.

I would love to be able, with your help to provide meals for the animals daily...
