Final Words from FEVR president Jeannot Mersch at the Valetta Transport Minister Meeting

It is a great honour for me to represent here the voice of the road traffic victims in this distinguished meeting
I rememeber the slogan for a world day of remembrance, which is every 3. Sunday in November

Commissioner Bulc and the UN Road Safety envoy are well aware of this global day as they dedicate messages every year
Slogan was: How a country responds to road death and injury indicates the importance it accords to Road Safety
and your presence here is a proof that road safety is a priority and politic will is very important as
Minister Bausch said before.

In fact we work for our own extinction that one day there will be no more deaths and serious injuries in our roads and streets, that's Vision Zero, so that there is no more need one day for support from Road Victim Associations
I was also very pleased that serious injuries and vulnerable road users are high on the agenda
and also the Post Crash Item was not forgotten

its also a global priority, its the duty of us all, stakeholders politics and NGOs because
Road Safety is a human right as was said before

So I wish all of you the same passion that Road Traffic Victims have and the same energy as we don't want that what happened to us is lived by fellow citizens

So thank you to help and to act to reduce this pandemic on the European and the world roads
