ALMOST 2 YEARS LOC'D | 1ST BENTONITE CLAY MASK & APPLE CIDER VINEGAR RINSE ON LOCS | TWO STRAND TWIST STARTER LOCS JOURNEY

Today I am finally sharing with you the steps I've taken to get rid of Jayden's loc build up! Although, it was a disaster throughout we will eventually get there.

I have seen and heard many people speak on the benefits of how clays can clean and detox locs (hair) and sclap. Little did I know, I should have went with my gut regarding using clay on locs. Initially, I was sceptical but because I sought suggestions regarding getting rid of build up; I chose to give it a go.

Following on, I thought to ensure a deep cleanse I would follow up with an apple cider vinegar soak (acv soak) or apple cider vinegar rinse (acv rinse) whichever you prefer to say. This certainly helps with taking away some of rhe clay residue left behind.

The measurements used in acv soak were of portions according to staying in the safe zone for use on our hair strands. Although, it's ideal to not damage our hair strands I feel this mixture wasn't strong enough and next time I plan to use a little more of the apple cider vinegar and baking soda.

Add base oils and essential oils of your choice. Cover with cling film (shrink wrap) until ready to use.
