Wrinkled Tower Route, Grade III Scramble on Tryfan, Snowdonia

Spectacular solo climbing on a classic grade III scramble on the West Face of Tryfan. This is the first in a series of Beyond The Trail videos for 2019 exploring the big classic scrambles in Snowdonia.

Wrinkled Tower Route (also known as Wrinkled Slab) is graded at the highest end of the scrambling grades and requires roped climbing techniques. The route can be soloed but only if you have a sufficient level of skill and experience and only in the best weather conditions. Always seek professional guidance or instruction if you want to climb something which goes beyond your current level of ability.
