Elden Ring- Ghostflame Mage | Int/Faith Build (NG+)
For this Build: This Elden Ring Build is an Intelligence/Faith hybrid build centered around powerful weapon skills, spell casting, stance breaks and Frostbite themed around Ghostflame and Death Sorceries.
The Helphen’s Steeple uses the standard Greatsword moveset but what makes this weapon so powerful Ruinous Ghostflame is such a good buff. It adds 110 Magic Damage and 80 Frostbite to the Steeple, lasting for 60 seconds. What’s also neat is Ruinous Ghostflame also has a hitbox on its animation, so you can use it as a fast, stylish attack. Death’s Poker and Death Ritual Spear both share similar functionality in that they do not have very impressive melee damage on an Intelligence-focused build, however, their weapon skills are DPS monsters and are the real strongest Death Sorceries in Elden Ring. Ghostflame Ignition is essentially 3 weapon skills in one: The initial cast has the player extends the Poker out with a burning Ghostflame, dealing Magic Damage and Frostbite. Following it up with a light attack will have the player hit the Ghostflame forward in a burning trail. This version of the skill offers some of the best DPS in all of Elden Ring but has a pretty lengthy animation, which ends up being fine because so long as you get off the follow-up, you will do thousands of damage almost every time. You can also follow-up Ghostflame Ignition with a heavy attack, which will cause a massive explosion of Ghostflame, which also does a ton of damage. Spearcall Ritual is a very fast casting weapon skill where the player thrusts the Death Ritual Spear upward, sending down a rain of spears down on an enemy. This skill not only does really good raw DPS but it also deals 26 stance damage at range. In most situations, you can get off two casts with fairly low risk. If what you’re fighting isn’t already stance broken because that’s 52 stance damage in a split second, it’s probably because they’ve already been converted into Runes. It is also worth mentioning the Death Ritual Spear also has a 110 Critical Hit Rating. The infusible weapons this build uses are also very strong in their own right. The Great Epee is a Heavy Thrusting Sword which deals mainly Pierce Damage, but as this nice sweeping heavy attack as well. Impaling Thrust is a natural choice with this weapon and when you have the Great Epee for melee range and the Death Ritual Spear with Spearcall Ritual at range, you’re getting a stance break. The Mace acts as this build’s Strike Damage option and does very good stance damage as it is a Hammer class weapon. The heavy attacks are unique with a horizontal swing. The charged version is pretty slow but the uncharged is still pretty serviceable and are great for stance breaking. The main weapon skills I use with it are Chilling Mist to add Frostbite to it or Cragblade to have even better stance damage since the Hammer moveset is pretty good on its own. The final weapon this build uses is the Misericordė providing Slash and Pierce damage. It is easily the fastest weapon this build has and while it’s not very good at breaking enemy stance by itself, it does have a 140 Critical Hit Rate, which is the highest in the game. Which is why I paired it with Carian Sovereignty. 48 Stance Damage for the initial swing and 45 more stance damage if you do the follow-up.
Additionally, this build also used Ancient Death Rancor, Rings of Spectral Light, Black Flame and Vortex of Putrescence.
