Elden Ring- The Bloodflame Butcher | Great Omenkiller Cleaver Build (NG+7)

Background: So, my dude @SaxSlaveGael once did a build called "The Immovable Object" were he used Wild Strikes and just wailed on bosses. I've also seen the power of Wild Strikes from other Souls YouTubers and I wanted to have some serious fun with it. The result was THE STRONGEST BUILD I HAVE EVER USED. Also, this was my first time using a Greataxe.

For this build: This build is a high Strength build with some Faith investment (enough for Golden Vow) that uses the Great Omenkiller Cleaver in combination with Bloodflame Blade and Wild Strikes to create a build that is an absolute menace in PvE. The Great Omenkiller Cleaver has an A scaling with Strength when set to the Heavy affinity and has a moveset that swings about as fast as a Greatsword with the crushing weight of a Colossal weapon, so the balance of the weapon is terrific. But that's not where the true power of this build comes from. The real power lies in the Great Omenkiller Cleaver having native bleed which makes it an excellent candidate for the buff, Bloodflame Blade. It has 55 native bleed and when buffed with Bloodflame Blade, applies an additional 40 bleed build-up for 2 seconds after each swing. Then comes the weapon skill: Wild Strikes. This skill is so beautifully simple. Swing your weapon around like a madman very quickly with hyperamor, dealing heavy damage, can roll out of it or follow-up with a light or heavy attack. Bloodflame Wild Strikes with this set-up with successive hit buffs, Golden Vow, Flame, Grant Me Strength and Lord of Blood's Exultation will melt bosses. The end result is a build that can stance break, deal massive DPS damage and inflict bleed and deal over 10,000 damage in seconds. Bosses immune to Bleed are not safe from this build. Replace BloodFlame Blade with Black Flame Blade and the result is the same. The Lands Between is this build's land to destroy.

Faith: 25 (For Golden Vow and Flame, Grant me Strength)
Arcane: 11 (Hero class default and for Bloodflame Blade)

Talismans:
1. Shard of Alexander: Increases power of weapon skills by 15%
2. Rotten Winged Sword Insignia: Greatly increases attack power with successive hits
3. Green Turtle Talisman: Increases stamina regen rate
4. Lord of Blood's Exultation: Increases attack power by 20% when Bleed is procced for 20 seconds
Flex (against Radagon and Elden Beast or other bleed immune bosses): Old Lord's Talisman: Extends Spell Buff Duration

Physick: 1. Thorny Cracked Tear (increases attack power with successive hits for 3 minutes) 2. Stonebarb Cracked Tear (increases stance damage by 30% for 30 seconds

Drip: Omensmirk Mask, Rotten Gravekeeper Cloak, Lionel's Gauntlets and Greaves.

How to improve this build: Similar to the Cold Knight build, this won't be a typical "Beyond 150" section because it will largely depend on what direction you want to take this build. I will preface this by saying I feel this build is very complete. The amount of damage it can do is outrageously strong, can stance break, inflict bleed or black flame damage over time and has very high DPS. Nevertheless, I'll still compare over ways you could play this build and how they compare to my 150 version.

Route A (GO ALL IN ON STRENGTH): If you wanted to retain the versatility of being able to buff with either Bloodflame Blade or Black Flame Blade, you could push Strength all the way to 99 and still squeeze out a bit more damage. With 99 Strength and two-handing, a Heavy Great Omenkiller Cleaver would have 834 Attack Rating (AR) (4.5% stronger than this build's 797 AR at 80 Strength).

Route B (Quality): If you're willing to grind for it, you could get higher AR and still be able to use weapon buffs. With 80 Strength and 80 Dexterity, a Quality Great Omenkiller Cleaver would have 883 AR (9.8% stronger than this build).

Route C (Blood): If you want to go all in on Bleed damage, you could set the Great Omenkiller Cleaver to the Blood affinity. With 45 Strength and 60 Arcane, a Blood Great Omenkiller Cleaver would have less AR at 636 (20.3% weaker than this build) but would have higher bleed build up. Even 80 Strength and 80 Arcane, it would still only have 713 AR (10.6% weaker than this build in raw AR)

Route D (Occult): Occult would be a more moderate way to go if you want all in on Bleed and still good raw AR. At 23 Strength and 80 Arcane, an Occult G.OK Cleaver would have 751 AR (5.8% weaker than this build), but would have greater natural bleed build-up. With 80 STR and 80 ARC, it would have 802 (less than 1% stronger than this build).
