1983 "Shultz's Treasure" FPS Adventure Game
This is a demo of the 1983 Shultz's Treasure 1st person shooter adventure game. Wikipedia says that the 1st FPS game on the IBM PC was published in 1992. They are wrong.
It's difficult to run a 32 yo game created for the 1st IBM PC. This computer had 64 k of RAM (compare that to the 8,000,000 k of RAM in my old laptop.) The IBM PC was running at 4.77 MHz (compared with my 2,000 MHz cheap laptop.) The graphics card only allowed 320 x 200 pixels in 4 colors. The speed of the game in this video is as close as I can get to the speed of the game running on the original IBM PC.
