Upgraded Dust Collection For a DeWalt DW735 Planer

In this video I am updating the dust collection system for my DeWalt DW735 planer. I wanted something easier to empty, yet still collected the chips fairly efficiently. And since I have such a small shop, I needed a solution that took up less space than my previous collection system.

As I suspected, the cheap bucket shown in this video failed and the top popped off with the power of the planer's blower. I replaced that bucket with a much sturdier bucket with a screw on lid. ...and I've given up on the whole sock thing. It worked OK, but hooking it up to my shop vac seems to be more efficient.
