Singapore closely monitoring new psychoactive substances as global supply, local abusers spike
The Central Narcotics Bureau is targeting the proliferation of new psychoactive substances (NPS) in Singapore, as supply rises exponentially worldwide. These lab-produced substances mimic the effects of controlled drugs like cannabis and heroin, and can be smuggled in the form of everyday items. With laws in place to deter them, authorities are calling for the public to be vigilant and to join the fight. Aslam Shah with more.
