So Today we are going to make protein bars or Almonds and peanuts chikki

This Chikki is an Indian sweet candy made traditionally made with sugar syrup and nuts like roasted peanuts or cashews or almonds and even puffed rice. Some variants are made with roasted chana dal (hulled black chickpeas), puffed rice, or a mix of various nuts and dry fruits.

This mouth-watering candy is referred to as chikki in Marathi and gajak in Hindi. Chikki is very popular with kids and are usually made and enjoyed during the winter season in India and the Makar Sankranti festival.

* Make sure to roast the dried nuts especially if you find them even a little stale/moist.
*The sugar syrup should reach the one string consistency otherwise your chikki will turn out chewy and sticky.
