So Today we are going to make Roasted chickpeas brittle or Bhunna channa chikki

Chikki is a traditional brittle from the Indian subcontinent usually made with nuts and jaggery/sugar. This is the recipe of chana chikki or gur chane ki patti which is made using roasted kala chana (bhune kale chane) and jaggery. Jaggery is a much healthier alternative to sugar and is consumed during the chilly winter season as it has a hot potency (garam taseer) . Just like jaggery, roasted chana also has a hot potency. These food items generate heat in our body and thus are perfect for winter.

* Make sure to roast the bhune chane especially if you find them even a little stale/moist.
*The jaggery syrup should reach the hard ball stage otherwise your chikki will turn out chewy and sticky.
*Try to use good quality jaggery .
