modernist concrete masterpiece from the 70s/80s. Tickets only $5. Too bad the venue was half empty.
Conductor Abner Padrino led an energetic score-free rendition of three pieces. This one is Les Preludes by Franz Liszt. I've seen the world's best orchestras play in Berlin. This was just as good.
The performance was part of Ciclo Orquestal de Caracas, a concert series featuring Venezuela's best orchestras. The program was full of old European composers. More Latino classical please!
