This patient is a diabetic with neuropathy and toenail wounds. She does not feel anything in her feet. She developed an open wound on the left 2nd toe. Today, however, we are trimming nails. She calls her feet “Fred Flintstone Feet” because they are wide and the toes are short. This is a common description of this type of foot.
