Boerne Leaders Respond To New Bravo Reality Series

Boerne city leaders are addressing questions after Bravo announced a new reality television series set in the Texas Hill Country called “Secrets, Lies, Texas Wives.”

During a recent city council meeting, officials clarified that the city is not sponsoring or partnering with the production and learned about the show at the same time as residents. Leaders also confirmed that no formal filming permits for public property have been approved.

City Manager Ben Thatcher emphasized that Boerne’s responsibility is to protect the public interest while continuing to represent the community beyond the storyline of a reality TV series. Officials believe much of the filming could happen on private property or outside city limits.
