† Special Visit to Holy Cross Monastery

Join me on this peaceful visit to Wayne County, West Virginia, to enjoy Holy Cross Monastery. This is an English speaking monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. The abbot and confessor of the monastery is Archimandrite Seraphim.

The monks mainly support themselves by manufacturing incense in the Athonite tradition and producing handmade soaps and lotions as well as liturgical items. These items and more are available in their online web store linked below.

This is a growing monastic community set in rural Appalachia that beckons the weary to take rest in the beauty of God’s creation and warmth of hospitality and quiet prayer. ☺️
