How I built a Roll Over Jig/Rotisserie for the MK1 Rabbit Project
I needed a roll over jig to get to the underside of the rabbit to clean all the undercoating and get it as neat as possible before going to the sandblaster. After a bit of research and getting a few tools I dove right in. It's not the prettiest but it works well!
Purchase List:
1.750 X 1.750 X 0.065 SQUARE 48.00 Inches X2
0.750 X 0.095 ST DOM TUBE 12.00 Inches X1
1.000 X 0.095 ST DOM TUBE 12.00 Inches X1
1.500 X 1.500 X 0.125 ANGLE 43.00 Inches X1
1.500 X 1.500 X 0.125 ANGLE 40.00 Inches X1
1.500 X 1.500 X 0.125 ANGLE 15.00 Inches X10
2.000 X 2.000 X 0.065 SQUARE 54.00 Inches X4
2.000 X 2.000 X 0.065 SQUARE 40.00 Inches X2
Costed me $265 with local pick-up.
My Pivot point was 41.5" off the ground. Depending on how long your distance is to the bumper mounts these numbers can fluctuate. But mine was about 12". Check on CAD to be sure I recommend.
