Buying an E36 M3?

It's almost time for the Civic to leave, so I'm starting to think about the next project. I'm not really into any new cars right now, so I asked Wahba to bring his E36 M3 to get some seat time in it and get a feel for the car. Is an E36 the next hero car for me to dive into?
