Overpaid For My E36 M3 Project Car...I Think?

I just picked up a new E36 M3 project car, with the hopes of cleaning it up for my first track car! I got tired of figuring out how to handle cheap E36 project cars (like the black 318ti and more recently the red 318i) that were plagued with chassis rust/rot to the point where the tasks needed to get those cars roadworthy felt like a daunting and overwhelming task. Fast forward to March 2021 I came across a 1997 BMW M3 on FB Marketplace that looked decent enough to check out. Once I inspected it and found that it had a bunch of aftermarket goodies, decent interior, and a history in a warmer climate, I decided to bite the bullet and pay $9000 cash for the car.
