Observing Wildlife at Pasir Ris Park | Squirrels, Otters, a Young Crested Goshawk and Others

Pasir Ris Park is always full of little surprises.

During this visit, I spent some time simply observing the wildlife around the park. A Plantain Squirrel paused to enjoy its meal, completely focused on eating while staying alert to its surroundings. Nearby, a group of otters rested peacefully beside House Crows, sharing the same space without conflict.

Later, I spotted a juvenile Crested Goshawk perched quietly on a tree. Even while grooming itself, it continued scanning the surroundings carefully, never fully letting its guard down.

Moments like these are a reminder that even in Singapore’s parks, wildlife is constantly adapting, observing, and living alongside one another in ways we may easily overlook.
