Wildlife Encounters at Tampines Eco Green | Turtle, Lizard & Parakeet

Even a short walk can reveal unexpected wildlife moments.

This video captures three small encounters at Tampines Eco Green, one of Singapore’s quieter nature parks known for its open grasslands and woodland habitat.

The video begins with a Red-eared Slider resting on a grass patch. It stays almost motionless, slowly scanning the surroundings before making any move.

Next, a Changeable Lizard clings to a tree trunk. An ant moves busily around the bark, but the lizard remains completely unbothered, holding its position.

The final scene features a Red-breasted Parakeet perched just outside a hole in the tree trunk. It appears to be inspecting the cavity, possibly considering it as a nesting spot. These parakeets are known to nest in tree hollows and have become an increasingly common sight across Singapore.

Moments like these remind us that nature is always active, even when the movement is subtle.

Filmed at Tampines Eco Green using the OM System OM-1 with the M.Zuiko 100-400mm lens.
