Another Eid and it was just us with families very close to us but not with us at home. Thanks tot he Almighty and thanks to you all for your prayers for my husband who got tested negative. We all could sit together and have our delicious meal on Eid.

Malabar Beef Biriyani

Masala-
Beef - 1.5 kg ( pressure cook with some water, turmeric powder & salt for 2 whistles )
Onion - 6 medium ( 3 for frying )
Tomato - 5 medium chopped
Garlic - 1 whole bulb
Ginger - a medium piece
Green chillies - 5 - 6
Oil - 2 cups for deep frying onion & other
Curd - 1 - 1.5 cup
Coriander leaves - a handful chopped
Fried Cashews & nuts - for garnish

Rice -
Jeerakashala rice - 5 cups
Water & beef stock - 10 cups together
Oil - 4 tbsp
Ghee - 2 big spoons
Cardamom - 5
Cloves - 5
Cinnamon - a medium piece
Coriander leaves - few chopped

Chicken - 1.5 kg cut in small pieces
Dried red chillies - 4 - 5
Black pepper corns - 1 tbsp
Hot water - 1/2 cup
Garlic - 4 - 5cloves
Ginger - a small piece
Shallots - 4 - 5
Curry leaves - a handful
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt
Coconut oil - 3 tbsp

Condensed milk - 1 tin or more if needed
Milk - 1.5 ltr
Water - 1.5 ltr
Vermicelli/Semiya - 200gm
Ghee - 3 tbsp
