Michael McDonald - You Can't Make It Love

Final track from the Blue Obsession album. The song reminds me of the track "Losin' End" which first appeared as a Doobie Brothers record and later re-worked as a track in Michael's first solo album. The message, to me, is similar but in this version, the jilted lover guy so to speak got a chance to say to the girl "you did to me what he did to you". Great songwriting from the master of songs about heartbreak. BTW, there's an amazing live version of this tune here on YT.
