Miata Steering Rack Spacers

Today we install steering rack spacers for the Miata. Power steering spacers provide a relatively cheap upgrade for lowered Miatas to correct steering/suspension geometry after lowering the car. After you lower your Miata, the tie rods are no longer correctly position between the steering rack and the steering knuckles. Lowering the car causes added angle to be added to the tie rods because the steering rack ends up much lower than the steering knuckles. This increases the amount of bumpsteer the car experiences.

This helped the car feel much more stable on uneven and bumpy surfaces. I have yet to hoon it through some aggressive cornering, but straight-line stability has greatly improved and increases driver confidence.
