Dust Free Spackling Holes

I am cleaning up spackle before I paint a room in my house. My wife has server asthma. Lots of dust goes everywhere when sparkling. Therefore I clean up and smooth out the spackle. Therefore I wipe off all the excess spackle using a wet rag. This smooths the spackle to hide the wall repair. Using a wet rag removes all the excess spackle without creating dust, such as would happen sanding away excess spackle.
