Turkey that FAMILY and FRIENDS RAVE about! Making the juiciest and most flavorful turkey 🦃
It feels so good when everyone at the dinner table can't stop raving about the spectacular turkey that you've prepared and in this video, I'll show you how it's done.
We start brining the turkey for 12 hours.
Then we need to get our smoke going with a stable temperature of 225 degrees F.
You'll inject the turkey with a melted butter mix and then coat it with a generous amount of salt and pepper.
After a few hours on the smoker, you'll want to remove the turkey, slather it with butter and cover it with foil and place it back on your smoker at around 350 degrees F.
Once all parts of the turkey are over 165 degrees F, remove from the smoker and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
Uncover your masterpiece and savor the admiration heaped upon you and the succulent turkey you've prepared.
Ingredients
Brine:
2 gallons cold water
2 cups sugar
2 cups salt
Turkey (14 pounds):
1 cup (8 oz) of melted butter
2 teaspoons of ancho chili powder
2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper
50/50 salt and pepper mix
1/2 cup butter cut into pads
