5 things the Irish gave to the United States
Most of you will know that large numbers of Irish emigrated to the United States. This was especially so during and after the Great Famine - https://youtu.be/IUtZGnjQiww But many Irish migrated before this. The Tudor conquest and subsequent colonisation of Ireland (16th and 17th century) resulted in social upheaval and many Irish sought a better life in the newly establishing colonies in the Americas.
In the 18th century a large number of Ulster Scots / Scots-Irish migrated settling espeically in the Appalachian area.
Irish immigrants brought their culture with them (e.g. music, traditions), helped build much of the US (e.g. canals, railways) and contributed to social and political life (eg union organisation).
