Rituals (1998) | Oscar Winner Regina King directed by Carol Mayes

When Iris confides in her neighbor Carmen that she suspects her husband of cheating, Carmen suggests several voodoo rituals to help Iris keep her man. Just as it is revealed that Carmen is the other woman, her magic over Wendel wanes. Carmen tries to seduce Wendel one last time, only to realize that her love potion isn't as strong as the love that Carmen and Wendel share.

This rare gem was written and directed by Carol Mayes, my fellow classmate at the American Film Institute in 1998 and was only broadcast once on TV. Please feel free to like/comment/subscribe.
