The Devil's Daughter 1939
The plot of the story deals with two sisters whose father owns a West Indies rubber plantation. One of the sisters goes to New York City and later attains success, while the other remains at home. When the father dies, he leaves the plantation to the New York sister and she returns home to take over the plantation. The other sister, resentful, plans revenge through fake voodoo rites, hoping to frighten the favored one to return to New York. The plan fails, the sisters make up and agree to run the plantation together.
