Nevada governor pushes for action on stalled DUI bills

Governor Lombardo expressed his desire for legislative action on two stalled bills in the Nevada Legislature aimed at imposing tougher penalties for DUI offenses.

Both bills currently lack scheduled hearings.

"We anticipate we should have a hearing on our crime bill early next week," Lombardo said. "Obviously, there are people who have competing legislation, but as long as it moves us forward in what we're trying to achieve, I don't care who takes the credit. We'll ensure that one piece of legislation addressing that critical need you described will move forward, and it will receive my signature."
